Box Turtle 

 While you’re going on a hike look out for these box turtles. Caesars creek has many box turtles in the forest and around the water, especially in the nature center. Box turtles are very colorful turtles. There colors are black, orange, yellow, red and they also have red eyes and their skin looks like lava. They eat earth worms, snails, spiders, caterpillars, grass hoppers, berries, flowers and grass. Their predators are raccoons, minks, skunks and dogs. Box turtles are dying because of a disease that only box turtles can get. Only 32% of box turtles live in the wild because of this disease. You can see these turtles at the nature center.
