The nature center’s located across from the pioneer village. It has many things you canenjoy, like ponds for fishing, live animals, bird watching, and fun programs. (Children must be accompanied by an adult for all programs). These include:

 

WILDLIFE TOUR: Take a guided wildlife tour while meeting wild animals up close. Including a live screech owl, and various types of snakes, frogs, and turtles. From 10:00am to 4:00pm.                                    

 

ARCHERY: Another one of our programs is archery, (with all equipment included). You can meet the park naturalists for guided instructions. Starts at 2:00pm.

SALAMANDER NIGHT HIKE: Learn about the salamander migration, and why it only happens in this time of year. Car Pool to the wetlands to catch/release frogs and salamanders. For this activity, wear water-proof boots and bring a flashlight. (Stay as long as you want in the wetlands). Starts at 7:30pm.

HIKE TO SWINGING BRIDGE: Take a 4- mile guided hike with the park naturalists to see our new, Swinging Bridge! Discover signs of spring along the trail. From 10:00am to 12:00pm.
